The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aleksandar Pavlovic lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Kukova United's Guilherme Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kevin Trapp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Pio in the 7th minute of the match. After 10 minutes Kukova United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dimitri Faber who took care of the corner kick. The corner led B68 Toftir's Leon Goretzka to fire away a dangerous shot which Anıl Baran Uslu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to B68 Toftir getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Salih Özcan hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Haroldo Pio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kevin Trapp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kevin Trapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Hulberto in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, B68 Toftir's Dimitri Faber got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Tomáš Čvančara scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anıl Baran Uslu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Leon Goretzka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Kukova United's Guilherme Messias got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 41st minute Romeo Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Trapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leverett Niens's late challenge caught a Kukova United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leverett Niens helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, B68 Toftir's Leverett Niens got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute of the match, Dimitri Faber got a very nice opportunity to score, but Anıl Baran Uslu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Pio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nathan Kempf during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kukova United booed when B68 Toftir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Kempf didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute, Dušan Ujlaky reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kevin Trapp. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 56th minute of the match, Romeo Hulberto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kevin Trapp was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kevin Trapp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeo Hulberto in the 58th minute. Haroldo Pio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Kevin Trapp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kukova United's Silvester Krovina was substituted for Guilherme Messias. Kukova United's Resulhan Avşaroğlu was substituted for Klas Vallgren. If Dušan Ujlaky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Trapp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Pio, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. A collision led to Kukova United getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Juraj Bicák hit a great ball. Anıl Baran Uslu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Goretzka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevin Trapp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Pio in the 89th minute of the match. Scott Ringeli kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Dušan Ujlaky was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kukova United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave B68 Toftir the free kick. A collision led to Kukova United getting a freekick after 93 minutes play.
