After some careless play in the VC zoetwater defense, Gert Korevaar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Van De Wiele. The VC zoetwater fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Van De Wiele should have stopped the shot. After 10 minutes, Andreas Wollans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC zoetwater and the FFC Merainies 03 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, VC zoetwater's Andreas Wollans got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 12 minutes, Gert Korevaar made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. VC zoetwater's Nils Van De Wiele tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeoffrey Wiggers hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Niek Witting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koos de Kort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th match minute, VC zoetwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wayne Ketelers to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Gert Korevaar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gert Korevaar was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Nils Van De Wiele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gert Korevaar's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Giel Lever stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Wollans's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricky Meijers got free with Giel Lever in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FFC Merainies 03 getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Felix Hitchcock hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Gert Korevaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. FFC Merainies 03's supporters rose to their feet, but Gert Korevaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils Van De Wiele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

VC zoetwater's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Gert Korevaar scored to the left of an out of position Nils Van De Wiele, making the score, 0-3. 58 minutes into the game, Gert Korevaar lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Nils Van De Wiele. With a little luck, VC zoetwater's Nils Van De Wiele got control of the ball when Gert Korevaar tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to VC zoetwater getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jeoffrey Wiggers hit a great ball. Gert Korevaar struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Nils Van De Wiele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FFC Merainies 03. Gert Korevaar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Nils Van De Wiele skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When FFC Merainies 03's Gert Korevaar in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye VC zoetwater's goalie prevented a goal. 73 minutes into the game, Wayne Ketelers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VC zoetwater's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FFC Merainies 03 the free kick. Wayne Ketelers hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Gert Korevaar took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils Van De Wiele. Nils Van De Wiele dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After a rather tough play, VC zoetwater's Martial De Vriendt got a free kick in the 81st minute. Felix Hitchcock took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nils Van De Wiele. VC zoetwater's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gert Korevaar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FFC Merainies 03's zone, Ricky Meijers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giel Lever came out of the goal and Ricky Meijers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 minutes, Felix Hitchcock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FFC Merainies 03 and the VC zoetwater players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Felix Hitchcock got a free kick in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Gert Korevaar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils Van De Wiele. VC zoetwater's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gert Korevaar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. After 94 played minutes FFC Merainies 03 got a freekick which was hit by Felix Hitchcock. The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when VC zoetwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Rijniers didn't get a good kick on the ball. FFC Merainies 03 played a much better game than VC zoetwater and deserved their victory. The VC zoetwater players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
