In the 5th minute Norberto Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Maurício Hoffmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moisés da Silveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 12th minute, Alberto Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Papão de WC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ricardo Hoffmann took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moisés da Silveira. Moisés da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Papão de WC's Eduardo Miranda got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Grêmio Papão de WC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Hoffmann came free, but Moisés da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. William Breckenfeld made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Barros in the 26th minute. When Norberto Quadros fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio Papão de WC's protests and gave Norberto Quadros a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grêmio Papão de WC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

If Maurício Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sidney Batista was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The crowd rose to their feet as Bola Murcha's Maurício Hoffmann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moisés da Silveira. That made the score 1-4 after 65 minutes of play. Bola Murcha's William Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato Netto in the 79th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Carlos Fernando Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Hoffmann got free with Moisés da Silveira in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grêmio Papão de WC's Moisés da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo José Salles in the 92nd minute of play. When the match was over Bola Murcha could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Grêmio Papão de WC throughout the match.
