After 7 minutes, Márcio de Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ekzema F.V. and the Grêmio Papão de WC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wellington Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Barros in the 9th minute of the match. Moisés da Silveira made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Murilo Paes sent off a good shot on target. Eduardo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Wellington Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. With an all-out effort, Ekzema F.V.'s Moisés da Silveira threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Samuca Tróia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Grêmio Papão de WC booed when Ekzema F.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Alberto Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Sílvio Cordeiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Moisés da Silveira, 1-1. Grêmio Papão de WC made a substitution. Naldo Soeiro replaced Norberto Quadros. Duda Vidal hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ekzema F.V.'s Fabinho Sarmento got a free kick in the 38th minute. Wellington Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Novaes in the 44th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

If Samuca Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Grêmio Papão de WC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Maia to maneuver through the defense. Murilo Paes scored 4-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moisés da Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Duda Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Moisés da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moisés da Silveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Paes's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Moisés da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
