Cido Paraense hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in VARGINHA FC's zone, Qu Wei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Medeiros came out of the goal and Qu Wei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aírton Maciel's late challenge caught a Proteu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aírton Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. Gabriel Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 毛明昆's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 29 minutes, Qu Wei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Proteu and the VARGINHA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 played minutes Proteu got a freekick which was hit by Qu Wei. The audience was convinced that 毛明昆's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Medeiros was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rd minute, Qu Wei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Proteu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Proteu's 毛明昆 got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, 毛明昆 notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of VARGINHA FC's Gabriel Medeiros. Gabriel Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 毛明昆 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 46 minutes of play, Proteu's 毛明昆 made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Medeiros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulão Nóbrega to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Vidal in the 51st minute of play forced Proteu's goalkeeper Ulysses Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 minutes, 毛明昆 made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. VARGINHA FC's Gabriel Medeiros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. VARGINHA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Proteu the free kick. The VARGINHA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Medeiros should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute, Proteu's 毛明昆 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gabriel Medeiros. Gabriel Medeiros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. The crowd rose to their feet as 毛明昆 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gabriel Medeiros. That made the score 0-8 in the 83 minute of play. In the 89th minute, 毛明昆 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gabriel Medeiros. The goal made the score 0-10. In the 92nd minute, Denílson Tepedino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. 毛明昆 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 毛明昆 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Medeiros having to make a save. Gabriel Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qu Wei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Proteu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
