Roger Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Meireles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nelsinho Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Roger Costa came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the São José City - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Costa couldn't finish the play. Hélder Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Gaspar in the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Roger Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São José City - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. São José City - FSCMZ's Hélder Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel da Rocha in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Roger Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teodoro Meireles, 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Bandeirinha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roger Costa got free with Teodoro Meireles in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gabriel da Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Bandeirinha AD fans jumped to their feet. Falcão Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Hélder Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roger Costa got free with Teodoro Meireles in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Bandeirinha AD's Teodoro Meireles got control of the ball when Roger Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Costa to make the kick off. Teodoro Meireles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Costa went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 54 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Hélder Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramiro Coutinho. Renato Velloso charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renato Velloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of São José City - FSCMZ booed when Bandeirinha AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodoro Meireles. Bandeirinha AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelsinho Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 65 minutes into the match, Bandeirinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Cunha came free, but Teodoro Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelsinho Cunha scored 6-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Meireles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Bandeirinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Xavier came free, but Teodoro Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
