Egídio Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 4th minute of the match, Fabrício Rosa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vicente Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 5th minute, Bergamim F.C.'s Vânderson Vander seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vânderson Vander the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bergamim F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vânderson Vander had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Icoara Football Club booed when Bergamim F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdo Lima shot from long distance in the 7th minute, but Vicente Azevedo was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 15 minutes of play, Bergamim F.C.'s Cássio Neiva made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caetano Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Augusto Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1-1 became the score in the 20th minute when José Paulo Batista elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Egídio Lucas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Icoara Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 32 minutes into the game, Davi Tasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bergamim F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icoara Football Club the free kick. 31 minutes into the game, one of Bergamim F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 3-1 came through a penalty shot after 33 played minutes, when Icoara Football Club:s Valdo Lima calmly waited for Bergamim F.C.:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. 42 minutes into the match, Bergamim F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fabrício Rosa came free, but Vicente Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Vidal hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The wind increased when José Augusto Toledo made the kick off in the second half. José Augusto Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cássio Neiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Caetano Monteiro. That made the score 4-2 in the 56 minute of play. In the 60th minute Genílson de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Augusto Toledo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Icoara Football Club's Genílson de Queirós got a free kick in the 64th minute. Vicente Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If José Augusto Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vicente Azevedo came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Icoara Football Club's Fabrício Rosa. But to his dismay, Fabrício Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Vicente Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egídio Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Fabrício Rosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Icoara Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. After 82 minutes, Egídio Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Bergamim F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Egídio Lucas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Vicente Azevedo came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Icoara Football Club's Egídio Lucas. But to his dismay, Egídio Lucas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. If Egídio Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Lucas might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egídio Lucas ran back to his position shaking his head. Bergamim F.C.'s supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Icoara Football Club had won, even though Bergamim F.C. had held more of the ball.
