Caetano Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Caetano Monteiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 77th minute Ernesto Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ernesto Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Icoara Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Baiano couldn't finish the play. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Icoara Football Club from getting a goal against them.
