Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Horácio Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Amadeu Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luís Fernandez was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dênis Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brooks Shields recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dênis Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. If Noel Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Brooks Shields managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marzagão's supporters rose to their feet, but Brooks Shields was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Radius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Radius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brooks Shields in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Amadeu Toledo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez. Pedro Luís Fernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Cearense in the 37th minute of play. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Toledo in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brooks Shields in the 42nd minute of play forced Aracatiara EC's goalkeeper Mario Radius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Radius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brooks Shields in the 44th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Gaspar got free with Mario Radius in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute Horácio Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Marzagão players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aracatiara EC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amadeu Toledo was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Fernando da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Fernandez having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeu Toledo in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Fernandez saved Marzagão from getting behind. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Giovani Cearense sent off a good shot on target. Mario Radius came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Marzagão's Brooks Shields. But to his dismay, Brooks Shields quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mario Radius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brooks Shields in the 62nd minute of play. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Toledo in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Dênis Donato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Brooks Shields managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marzagão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brooks Shields was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Giovani Cearense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Mario Radius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Gaspar in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Aracatiara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Cearense to maneuver through the defense. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Marzagão from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Dênis Donato took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Pedro Luís Fernandez to make any attempt to save it. Mario Radius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brooks Shields, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu Toledo in the 91st minute of the match. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Toledo in the 95th minute of play. Pedro Luís Fernandez was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Giovani Cearense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
