Waldir Mazza's late challenge caught a Guayra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Waldir Mazza helped the player get up and apologised. Waldir Mazza hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Osmar Rosario kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The ROSÁRIO SPORT fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when ROSÁRIO SPORT's Osmar Rosario looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcus Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 13 minutes, Dida Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROSÁRIO SPORT and the Guayra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dida Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Osmar Rosario might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chu Damião. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osmar Rosario ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlinhos Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osmar Rosario in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chu Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute, Waldir Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 38th minute of the match Waldir Mazza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Waldir Mazza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Guayra FC booed when ROSÁRIO SPORT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Oscar Dionísio got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Luisinho Alvarenga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Mineiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 46 minutes, Silvério Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guayra FC and the ROSÁRIO SPORT players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Tadeu Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thiago Mineiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beto de Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. A collision led to Guayra FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Tales Cavalcante hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Oscar Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chu Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guayra FC's Tadeu Freire got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 60 played minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato das Neves. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beto de Azevedo got free with Thiago Mineiro in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to ROSÁRIO SPORT getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dida Catarinense hit a great ball. A hard shot by Luisinho Alvarenga from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Thiago Mineiro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marcus Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marcus Mesquita hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Thiago Mineiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beto de Azevedo in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Guayra FC's Silvério Donato sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Mineiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thiago Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Vianna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Mineiro. Carlinhos Vianna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Thiago Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Vianna in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, ROSÁRIO SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Vianna came free, but Thiago Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
