Ferrari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natã Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Guedes in the 5th minute of the match. Real Cruzeiro FC's Natã Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willian Paes in the 10th minute of play. Natã Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willian Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Natã Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willian Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 minutes, Willian Paes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Real Cruzeiro FC's Natã Madureira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute, Gonçalo Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Real Cruzeiro FC's zone, Willian Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Madureira came out of the goal and Willian Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Willian Paes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Natã Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Guedes in the 34th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Amauri Pernambucano in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Cruzeiro FC's Júnior Salles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Guedes in the 38th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Natã Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natã Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Paes in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Víktor Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elano Galvão in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natã Madureira saved Real Cruzeiro FC from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldo Nazário De Lima made a kick off. Natã Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willian Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Guilherme Cabral's late challenge caught a S.C. Ferrari's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Guilherme Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Luís Guilherme Cabral got a free kick in the 57th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Váldson do Vale during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson do Vale to maneuver through the defense. If Ronaldo Nazário De Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, S.C. Natã Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Elano Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Natã Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Víktor Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Madureira having to interfere. Beto Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Endrick De Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When S.C. Ferrari's Beto Guedes in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Cruzeiro FC's goalie prevented a goal. Natã Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Paes in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Víktor Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Ferrari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víktor Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. S.C. Ferrari's Beto Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willian Paes in the 94th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Natã Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.C. Ferrari played a much better game than Real Cruzeiro FC and deserved their victory. The Real Cruzeiro FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
