After a rather tough play, Fúria Futebol Clube's Alberto Soares got a free kick in the 7th minute. Júlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hong Køng in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Igor Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Porto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Walmyr Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Igor Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot. SRP-Laguna's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SRP-Laguna's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristian Pernambucano 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. After 20 minutes, Hong Køng made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Sílvio Cruz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Alex Sarmento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hong Køng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Porto having to interfere. Júlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hong Køng in the 32nd minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Fúria Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Mesquita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hong Køng in the 39th minute of play forced Fúria Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Júlio Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Durval Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durval Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Leme to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Pombal to maneuver through the defense. Igor Leme received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Júlio Porto came out and tried to block the shot, but Igor Leme slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 62nd minute. Hong Køng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Porto having to interfere. If Hong Køng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Fúria Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SRP-Laguna booed when Fúria Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chicão Tepedino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Porto having to make a save. Igor Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Porto having to interfere. In the 78th minute Hong Køng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Leme to maneuver through the defense. Igor Leme was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to SRP-Laguna getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Igor Leme hit a great ball. If Hong Køng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hong Køng got free with Júlio Porto in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 90 minutes Fúria Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hong Køng who took care of the corner kick. The corner led SRP-Laguna's Walmyr Cavalcante to fire away a dangerous shot which Júlio Porto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Júlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hong Køng in the 94th minute of the match. If Wágner Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over SRP-Laguna could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fúria Futebol Clube throughout the match.
