Pedro Luís Melos short, quick shot in the 2ndth minute got Arthur Lago to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Loyola in the 4th minute of play forced Olympique Deleon's goalkeeper Jeremias Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremias Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Bonival's goalkeeper Arthur Lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Luís Melo. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Luís Melo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arthur Lago. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. The supporters of Bonival booed when Olympique Deleon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Christiano Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 32 minutes, Eurico Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympique Deleon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eurico Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johan Cruijff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arthur Lago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Arthur Lago made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Pedro Luís Melo sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute, Eurico Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Bonival getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bebeto Trevisan hit a great ball. Gonçalo Loyola's late challenge caught a Olympique Deleon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo Loyola helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Bonival got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Loyola. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Luís Melo to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Eurico Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Olympique Deleon's goal looked a bit too open when Luka Katsebin came free, but Jeremias Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eurico Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Arthur Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Olympique Deleon's Pedro Luís Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arthur Lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Johan Cruijff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arthur Lago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute Eurico Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pedro Luís Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Johan Cruijff came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Olympique Deleon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Cruijff couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Pedro Luís Melo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olympique Deleon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The supporters of Bonival booed when Olympique Deleon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Cruijff didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Christiano Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bonival's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olympique Deleon the free kick. Olympique Deleon's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
