Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Diamantino de Lara started the match with the kick off. Jeremias Freire might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emílio Motta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeremias Freire ran back to his position shaking his head. Guará FC's Emílio Motta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Freire in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Flavinho Alagoano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Felippe Maranhense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chute de Ouro FC's Jeremias Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute Diamantino de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enéas Seco was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 27th minute of the match, Jeremias Freire tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emílio Motta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 29th minute, Flavinho Alagoano made a precise shot to the right of Felippe Maranhense. Chute de Ouro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diamantino de Lara in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felippe Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felippe Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, José Vítor Tepedino notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Chute de Ouro FC's Felippe Maranhense. Felippe Maranhense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeremias Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Emílio Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goalkeeper Emílio Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho Capixaba. When Ivo Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Guará FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Freire to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Capixaba in the 51st minute of play forced Guará FC's goalkeeper Emílio Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Freire came free, but Emílio Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Jeremias Freire cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Emílio Motta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felippe Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diamantino de Lara in the 59th minute. A collision led to Chute de Ouro FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Durval Dantas hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, Chute de Ouro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Freire to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Chute de Ouro FC's Felippe Maranhense got control of the ball when Diamantino de Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Jeremias Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chute de Ouro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felippe Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavinho Alagoano's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Ricardinho Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Motta having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Chute de Ouro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Alagoano came free, but Felippe Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Guará FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chute de Ouro FC throughout the match.
