After 2 minutes, Luiz Guilherme da Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mochila FC and the Squadra Demarchi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when Mochila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Squadra Demarchi's Claudinho Loyola tried to score from far away in the 3rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tostão Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Meirelles in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when Mochila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nildo Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramón Veiga hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Júnior Meirelles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tostão Varela. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Tostão Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Meirelles in the 16th minute of play. Júnior Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Squadra Demarchi booed when Mochila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Rafael Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Squadra Demarchi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Alberto Sergipano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ramiro Mello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 27 minutes, Júnior Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Squadra Demarchi and the Mochila FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Benjamin Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Veiga in the 32nd minute of play. Ramiro Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Júnior Meirelles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Squadra Demarchi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 40th minute of the match, Júnior Meirelles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tostão Varela saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 42nd minute, Claudinho Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mochila FC's zone, Júnior Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tostão Varela came out of the goal and Júnior Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Júnior Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Claudinho Loyola made a precise shot to the right of Tostão Varela. Mochila FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Tostão Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júnior Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Tostão Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júnior Meirelles went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Alberto Sergipano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro Mello having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júnior Meirelles in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tostão Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júnior Meirelles in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tostão Varela saved Mochila FC from getting behind. Tostão Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior Meirelles in the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Squadra Demarchi were the better team. Squadra Demarchi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
