The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robinho de Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Castro came free, but Robinho de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cesinha Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrus Catarinense in the 13th minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Joaquim de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Terras short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Joaquim de Azevedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Osvaldo Terra's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Joaquim de Azevedo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 20th minute Ronald Mc Donald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Mc Donald came free, but Robinho de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robinho de Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petrus Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Renato Pombal hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Álvaro Castro from long distance, 72 minutes into the match, got Robinho de Sena's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 75th minute of the match GLADIADORES got a corner. Seterma Tractors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Álvaro Castro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Ronald Mc Donald to score against Robinho de Sena in Seterma Tractors's goal. 2-3 after 75 minutes. Ronald Mc Donald who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Robinho de Sena when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Osvaldo Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Robinho de Sena was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Álvaro Castro. Joaquim de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Petrus Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 minutes Seterma Tractors's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Álvaro Castro who took care of the corner kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
