A collision led to AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ramón Rosa hit a great ball. Benedito Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Luís Fabiano Corrêa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedito Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 15th minute Amílton dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reinaldo França's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Conrado Miranda took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedito Esteves. Benedito Esteves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Reinaldo França took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Mattos. Paulo Mattos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Carlos de Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrado Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Benedito Esteves made a huge save. Luís Fabiano Corrêa took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedito Esteves. Benedito Esteves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Dedê Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Mattos having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fabiano Corrêa in the 47th minute of play forced AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's goalkeeper Benedito Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reinaldo França stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Reinaldo França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Paulo Mattos made a huge save. Benedito Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Leonardo Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 minutes of play, Itajaí Football Club's Amílton dos Santos made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedito Esteves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leonardo Varela scored 6-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedito Esteves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton dos Santos came free, but Benedito Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedito Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th match minute, Itajaí Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the game, Danilo Bastos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itajaí Football Club the free kick. Danilo Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Leonardo Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedito Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedito Esteves came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Itajaí Football Club's Conrado Miranda. But to his dismay, Conrado Miranda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. In the 82nd match minute, AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Rosa to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Luís Fabiano Corrêa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Benedito Esteves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 88th minute of the game Cléber Rezende made a throw-in which Amílton dos Santos played forward. Danilo Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. A collision led to Itajaí Football Club getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Manuel Pinho hit a great ball. Itajaí Football Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
