When Tamboril's Wanderson Ceresso in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wambalamba FC's goalie prevented a goal. Wambalamba FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Wanderson Ceresso scored to the left of an out of position João Pedro dos Santos, making the score, 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, João Pedro dos Santos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Frederico Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro dos Santos having to interfere. Abelardo Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tamboril's Diamantino de Barros got a free kick in the 12th minute. Abelardo Diniz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Paulo Chaves's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Edgar Tepedino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tamboril and the Wambalamba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Tamboril:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wambalamba FC:s goal. In the 21stth minute of the game João Paulo Chaves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tamboril's Abelardo Diniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Wambalamba FC were awarded a corner. Dário Diniz went to the cornerflag to take it. João Paulo Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Tamboril's Frederico Leme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Pedro dos Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Tamboril's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Chaves came free, but Abelardo Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederico Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. João Pedro dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Frederico Leme took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Pedro dos Santos. João Pedro dos Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Abelardo Diniz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Paulo Chaves's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Frederico Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Lara in the 41st minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper João Pedro dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. João Pedro dos Santos was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Wanderson Ceresso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wanderson Ceresso really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Valdomiro Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro dos Santos having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Paulo Chaves was the one to do the kick off. The corner led Wambalamba FC's Dário Diniz to fire away a dangerous shot which Abelardo Diniz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Wambalamba FC's Adhemar da Fonseca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Diniz. That made the score 3-2 after 52 minutes of play. After 59 played minutes Wambalamba FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão da Cunha. In the 61st minute, Wanderson Ceresso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tamboril fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Jarbas Quadros hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. João Pedro dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wambalamba FC's João Paulo Chaves in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The shot was a little too simple and Abelardo Diniz could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Dário Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wambalamba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dário Diniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Leme. Frederico Leme took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Pedro dos Santos. João Pedro dos Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. After 93 minutes, Ronaldão da Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wambalamba FC and the Tamboril players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tamboril booed when Wambalamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tamboril's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
