In the 5th minute Patrick Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Patrick Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frédson Rosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Vinhas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frédson Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cestarolli FC's goalkeeper Hélder Vinhas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cestarolli FC's Hélder Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Ferraz in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Arnaldo Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ruy Oliveira made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Egídio Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papunhas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Egídio Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Vinhas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Oliveira having to interfere. The supporters of Papunhas EC booed when Cestarolli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Cestarolli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, André Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Egídio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute Papunhas EC were awarded a corner. Frédson Rosa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Frédson Rosa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cestarolli FC's Hélder Vinhas did a great save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

David Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Galvão in the 54th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ruy Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Papunhas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Galvão came free, but Ruy Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Papunhas EC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Richard Madureira hit a great ball. Humberto Tróia hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Papunhas EC's Frédson Rosa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Hélder Vinhas but with some difficulty. After 72 minutes, Gonçalo Cestarolli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cestarolli FC and the Papunhas EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Papunhas EC booed when Cestarolli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Cestarolli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 minutes of play, Cestarolli FC's Patrick Galvão made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruy Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hélder Vinhas made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Egídio Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Arnaldo Munhoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Gonçalo Cestarolli put in a rough tackle. 92 minutes into the game, one of Cestarolli FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cestarolli FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
