After 2 played minutes Aguinhas got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Ortiz. 3 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's Zézinho Diniz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 4 minutes, Arlindo Ortiz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aguinhas and the Desportivo Coala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arlindo Ortiz hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 6 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Hedrick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bilal Tiberkanin got free with Faustão Gaspar in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wiliam de Castro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Sandrinho da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Maringá having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Luiz Gustavo Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Zézinho Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Desportivo Coala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zézinho Diniz couldn't finish the play. Desportivo Coala's Maurinho Maringá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Ortiz in the 35th minute of play. Maurinho Maringá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitório Lago in the 40th minute of the match. Tiago Gabriel Arósio scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maurinho Maringá, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maurinho Maringá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Ortiz in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bilal Tiberkanin to make the kick off. Vitório Lago received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maurinho Maringá came out and tried to block the shot, but Vitório Lago slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 52nd minute. Vitório Lago took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurinho Maringá. Maurinho Maringá dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The supporters of Desportivo Coala booed when Aguinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Tiago Gabriel Arósio took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Maurinho Maringá to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Desportivo Coala getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Bilal Tiberkanin hit a great ball. A collision led to Aguinhas getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Sandrinho da Silveira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Aguinhas's Luiz Gustavo Mota got a free kick in the 76th minute. With an all-out effort, Aguinhas's Maurinho Maringá threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arlindo Ortiz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Faustão Gaspar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bilal Tiberkanin's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Vitório Lago took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Maurinho Maringá to make any attempt to save it. Arlindo Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Maurinho Maringá made a huge save. Maurinho Maringá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Lago in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Cascão Cascavel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faustão Gaspar. Aguinhas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cascão Cascavel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Desportivo Coala's Maurinho Maringá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Desportivo Coala from getting a goal against them. The Desportivo Coala supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aguinhas's performance. The match ended with a win for Aguinhas.
