Alvinegro Carioca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alfa FC the free kick. In the 4th minute, Rony Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when Alvinegro Carioca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cássio Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferreirinha Vinhas in the 9th minute of play. Alvinegro Carioca's Cássio Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovani Viana in the 10th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Alvinegro Carioca's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Viana came free, but Cássio Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Tadeu Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hugo Neiva fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alfa FC's protests and gave Hugo Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Augusto Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Pedrinho de Queirós made a huge save. Arthur Varela's late challenge caught a Alvinegro Carioca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Augusto Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Leandro Camargo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alfa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 34 minutes of play, Alfa FC's Ferreirinha Vinhas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Aguiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the game, Leandro Camargo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Cássio Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cássio Aguiar came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Alfa FC's Leandro Camargo. But to his dismay, Leandro Camargo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leandro Camargo made the kick off in the second half. Pedrinho de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Domingues in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Leandro Camargo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alvinegro Carioca's Cássio Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfa FC's Geovani Viana was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cássio Aguiar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pedrinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Alfa FC defense, Rony Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrinho de Queirós. The Alfa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrinho de Queirós should have stopped the shot. Pedrinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Maurício de Lara sent off a good shot on target. Cássio Aguiar was a little too slow when Leandro Camargo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-6. Cássio Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovani Viana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Cássio Aguiar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Geovani Viana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Alvinegro Carioca booed when Alfa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th play minute Geovani Viana came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cássio Aguiar. 1-8. Pedrinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício de Lara in the 88th minute of play forced Alvinegro Carioca's goalkeeper Cássio Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Camargo in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cássio Aguiar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferreirinha Vinhas went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-9 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferreirinha Vinhas got free with Cássio Aguiar in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Alvinegro Carioca fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alfa FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
