The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 6th minute Marcelo de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcelo de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute, Marcelo de Souza made a precise shot to the right of Jefferson Souza. Breguete FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jefferson Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 37 minutes into the game, Lupere FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Fontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferson Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 41 minutes into the game, Marcelo de Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Jefferson Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Breguete FC's Jefferson Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo de Souza in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
51 minutes into the game, Nathan Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Breguete FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lupere FC - DMZ the free kick. Nathan Fernandes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 55thth minute of the game Rodrigo Domingues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lupere FC - DMZ's Silas Bastos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lupere FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Breguete FC the free kick. 65 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Domingues came free, but Silas Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Rezende in the 66th minute of play forced Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Silas Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Luiz Fabiano Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute Nathan Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Breguete FC's Rodrigo Domingues in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lupere FC - DMZ's goalie prevented a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lupere FC - DMZ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Claudinei Mesquita shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Jefferson Souza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo de Souza went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute Rodrigo Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silas Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Domingues in the 82nd minute of play. Jefferson Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jefferson Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Capixaba in the 83rd minute of the match. Luiz Fabiano Capixaba's late challenge caught a Breguete FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fabiano Capixaba helped the player get up and apologised. Silas Bastos came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Breguete FC's Benjamim Rezende. But to his dismay, Benjamim Rezende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. The Lupere FC - DMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lupere FC - DMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
