The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ricardo Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vânderson Severo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nico Nascimento in the 24th minute. Silvinho Pirani thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Vânderson Severo, a very annoying self made goal in the 24th minute which led to 0-2. If Nico Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vânderson Severo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Ricardo Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALMA GUERREIRA's Vânderson Severo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Timeteo Bolas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save TIMETER EC -DMZ- from getting a goal against them. After 39 minutes of play, TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s Ricardo Penha made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vânderson Severo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raphael Aguiar took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vânderson Severo. Vânderson Severo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Nico Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vânderson Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Damião to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Bebeto de Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timeteo Bolas. TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bebeto de Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The supporters of TIMETER EC -DMZ- booed when ALMA GUERREIRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, TIMETER EC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Penha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Vânderson Severo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of ALMA GUERREIRA booed when TIMETER EC -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Arce didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute Ricardo Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vânderson Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto de Queiroz in the 89th minute of play. Bebeto de Godoi took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timeteo Bolas. Timeteo Bolas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Oscar Terra's late challenge caught a TIMETER EC -DMZ-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Terra helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes ALMA GUERREIRA got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Terra. A collision led to ALMA GUERREIRA getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Tião Marinho hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched TIMETER EC -DMZ- eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
