In the 9th minute of the match, Amauri Veiga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vito Furlan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Elói Nogueira put in a rough tackle. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PEÇONHENTO FC MG! In the 13th minute, Elivélton Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Vito Furlan. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 17th minute Giovanni Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dadá Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Vargas in the 30th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Vito Furlan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute of the match, Amauri Veiga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vito Furlan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vito Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elivélton Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

53 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Giovanni Simões fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The supporters of PEÇONHENTO FC MG booed when Quiroga F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Quiroga F.C.'s goalkeeper Dadá Massa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albertinho Vargas. Dadá Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Pires in the 64th minute. Luís Fabiano Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Quiroga F.C. got a corner. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elivélton Cunha ran over to the corner to take the kick. 84 minutes into the match, Ana Da Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vito Furlan. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ana Da Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. André Pires struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Dadá Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PEÇONHENTO FC MG. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Vito Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri Veiga in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to PEÇONHENTO FC MG getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Albertinho Vargas hit a great ball. Vito Furlan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amauri Veiga's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
