Corinthians Paulista's Cássio Aparecido nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Pitta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Cássio Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Pitta having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, S.C. Corinthians Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Mota came free, but Júlio Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Diego da Cunha got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for S.C. In the 38thth minute of the game Ricardinho Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gurjao's David Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amadeu Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego da Cunha in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Pitta saved Gurjao from getting behind. David Pitta made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Ricardinho Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the match, Gurjao's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Aparecido came free, but David Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Cássio Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Ricardinho Catarinense reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Pitta. The goal made the score 1-2. Júlio Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Mota in the 71st minute of the match. Ricardinho Catarinense who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of David Pitta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Válter Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Antônio Carlos Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Júlio Jacinto. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 78th minute, Cássio Aparecido made a precise shot to the right of David Pitta. Gurjao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Ricardinho Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but David Pitta made a huge save. David Pitta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded S.C. Corinthians Paulista left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gurjao.
