Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aníbal Matos started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Real Soccer FC booed when Nordestão Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesare Maldini struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Marcelo Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Soccer FC. Décio de Godoi hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Alexandre Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Soccer FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Nordestão Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Matos came free, but Marcelo Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes, Gilberto Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Soccer FC and the Nordestão Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Soccer FC's Gilberto Novaes got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Gilson Luz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Nordestão Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Luz couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bebeto Castro during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Soccer FC's Bebeto Castro got a free kick in the 17th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Erasmo Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nordestão Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Sibold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aníbal Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Gilberto Novaes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Simões. Nordestão Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Novaes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Décio de Godoi hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Gilberto Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Sibold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Alexandre Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gil Carioca to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Gil Carioca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Sibold. Real Soccer FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gil Carioca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Robert Sibold came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Nordestão Futebol Clube's Gil Carioca. But to his dismay, Gil Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 68th match minute, Real Soccer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Castro to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Décio de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredinho Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Silvinho Barros came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Nordestão Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvinho Barros couldn't finish the play. Nordestão Futebol Clube's Décio de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Gil Carioca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Robert Sibold was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Real Soccer FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
