When Moisés Dracena got free in front of the goal in the 3rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Chicão Sanches was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Chicão Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Dracena in the 5th minute of the match. Moisés Dracena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Chicão Sanches skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 11 minutes into the game, Kléberson de Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ronaldinho Pernambucano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 18 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Dracena came free, but Chicão Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tigre das Américas's Chicão Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Dracena in the 19th minute of play. Válter Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Haridades F.C's Luís Eduardo Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chicão Sanches made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Chicão Sanches successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tigre das Américas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gerson Sarmento was slow to take the kick. During this time Haridades F.C's players had a chance to rest. Ronaldinho Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válter Camargo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moisés Dracena to make the kick off. Vinícius Félix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldinho Pernambucano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Luís Eduardo Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match, Válter Camargo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ronaldinho Pernambucano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ronaldinho Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson de Toledo in the 56th minute of the match. Tigre das Américas's supporters rose to their feet, but Válter Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldinho Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson de Toledo in the 81st minute of play forced Haridades F.C's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldinho Pernambucano was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Válter Camargo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Válter Camargo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The Tigre das Américas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tigre das Américas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
