Wellington Barbosa came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Ricart Futebol Clube's Romário Pontes. But to his dismay, Romário Pontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute Romário Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aílton Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romário Pontes's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romário Pontes in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute Ricart Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Luan Cordeiro went to the cornerflag to take it. Ricart Futebol Clube's Eriberto Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ricart Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Gilberto Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wellington Barbosa having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romário Pontes in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wellington Barbosa saved Vasco FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Romário Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wellington Barbosa was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romário Pontes was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Romário Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellington Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Romário Pontes sped through Vasco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wellington Barbosa. Eriberto Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romário Pontes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Wellington Barbosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 89th match minute, Vasco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Meireles to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tiago Gabriel Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Gabriel Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
