Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marcos Boldrini got the match started through his kick off. Jean dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Boldrini, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Chivu Quintana kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clemente Varela. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. When Alfredo Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the MarquinhosEC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Loyola couldn't finish the play. Amílton Sergipano hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Jean dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Boldrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Horácio Galvão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Remedios SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jean dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Boldrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Célio Matorin in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Remedios SC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Moisés Lima hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the game, Horácio Galvão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Remedios SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MarquinhosEC the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Remedios SC's Chivu Quintana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clemente Varela. Clemente Varela yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chivu Quintana to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, MarquinhosEC's Umberto Moura got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Clemente Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chivu Quintana in the 54th minute of play. In the last second Jean dos Santos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Marcos Boldrini in the 64thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Marcos Boldrini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Jean dos Santos made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Remedios SC's Horácio Galvão got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jean dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Boldrini in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Célio Matorin notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Remedios SC's Jean dos Santos. Jean dos Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remedios SC's Jean dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Boldrini in the 73rd minute of play. Zé Augusto Sena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Varela having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Remedios SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MarquinhosEC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Jean dos Santos, was totally fooled by MarquinhosEC's Rubinho Valle, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 83 minutes of play Remedios SC's Horácio Galvão was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Remedios SC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Horácio Galvão hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, MarquinhosEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Moura to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the MarquinhosEC defense, Chivu Quintana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemente Varela. The MarquinhosEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemente Varela should have stopped the shot. Remedios SC's Jean dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Remedios SC from getting a goal against them. Remedios SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of MarquinhosEC for a fine match.
