When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Walmyr Simões took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Abelardo Barreto to make any attempt to save it. In the 10th minute, Flávio Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Bueno in the 18th minute of play forced Vila Zumbi's goalkeeper Abelardo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes of play, Facopo FBPA's Walmyr Simões made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 25 minutes, Fumo Pedrais made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Facopo FBPA's Enio Trigo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Walmyr Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Abelardo Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enio Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fumo Pedrais went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Abelardo Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Gabriel Damião in the 37th minute of the match. Adriano Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Barreto having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Vitório Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano Perez was the one to do the kick off. Tenho Sorter's late challenge caught a Facopo FBPA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tenho Sorter helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vila Zumbi's Tenho Sorter got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Bueno in the 53rd minute of play forced Vila Zumbi's goalkeeper Abelardo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 minutes, Tiago Gabriel Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Facopo FBPA and the Vila Zumbi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Enio Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Meirelles in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Facopo FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Fumo Pedrais came free, but Enio Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guilherme Almeida during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Vila Zumbi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Almeida to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
