Cafu Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Marquez in the 8th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Geovanni Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Hamílton Proença fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Geovanni Vaz, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Castro in the 12th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Geovanni Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes S S Palestra Italia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emílio Albuquerque who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on RÖK's corner Emílio Albuquerque fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Geovanni Vaz quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to RÖK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hamílton Proença hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, RÖK's Marcus Castro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Geovanni Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caio Luz took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yan Pirani. Yan Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Geovanni Vaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júlio Varela in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Luz in the 27th minute of play forced RÖK's goalkeeper Yan Pirani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 played minutes S S Palestra Italia got a freekick which was hit by Renan Loyola. Júlio Varela came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Geovanni Vaz could save by the left post. In the 38th minute, RÖK's Marcus Castro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geovanni Vaz. Geovanni Vaz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Cesinha Marquez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Geovanni Vaz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Clemente Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilson Donatello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, S S Palestra Italia's Gilson Donatello made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yan Pirani was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th match minute, S S Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th match minute, S S Palestra Italia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Loyola to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes, RÖK's João Vítor Loyola shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geovanni Vaz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in RÖK reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Marquez in the 60th minute of play forced S S Palestra Italia's goalkeeper Geovanni Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, S S Palestra Italia's Miguel Donatello got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The audience was convinced that Marcus Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Vaz was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. With his leg Yan Pirani managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when S S Palestra Italia's Gilson Donatello fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. S S Palestra Italia's Geovanni Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Varela in the 79th minute of play. S S Palestra Italia's Miguel Donatello got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Miguel Donatello off the ground. In the 84th minute Clemente Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the S S Palestra Italia defense, Marcus Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovanni Vaz. The S S Palestra Italia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovanni Vaz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, S S Palestra Italia's Rafinha Batista got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the RÖK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
