The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Saecinza defense, João Paulo Lucas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Alagoano. The Saecinza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Alagoano should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Washington Trevisan put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Júlio Alagoano. 12 minutes into the game, FC La Masia's Washington Trevisan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Alagoano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If João Paulo Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Washington Trevisan scored 0-4 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Alagoano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute Washington Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, João Paulo Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Alagoano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, João Paulo Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Júlio Alagoano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Percy Cabral hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Júlio Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enio Motta in the 37th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Saecinza's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Recife came free, but Júlio Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Recife in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Alagoano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Washington Trevisan scored 0-8 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Alagoano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saecinza's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Washington Trevisan scored to the left of an out of position Júlio Alagoano, making the score, 0-10. 68 minutes into the game, João Paulo Lucas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Júlio Alagoano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Washington Trevisan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Júlio Alagoano made a huge save. João Paulo Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Alagoano having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, FC La Masia's Washington Trevisan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Alagoano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. Júlio Alagoano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Washington Trevisan went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-13 was the resulting score. Júlio Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Lucas in the 89th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Saecinza's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Lucas came free, but Júlio Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
