Sílvio Luís Ceresso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Kitt Pegov made a huge save. Roberto Pato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kitt Pegov having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Luciano Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JFSP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Pato in the 30th minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Kitt Pegov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Pato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kitt Pegov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. JFSP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulinho Batista in the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Roberto Pato took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Kitt Pegov to make any attempt to save it. Roberto Pato struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Kitt Pegov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JFSP. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Bertassi was the one to do the kick off. Luciano Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
