Antonio Gol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldinho Vasconcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Túlio Damião charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Túlio Damião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Túlio Damião hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Antonio Ponta kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Narciso da Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Micael Moreira. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narciso da Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Micael Moreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Jailson Cearense almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Crisólia FBPA's Ronaldinho Vasconcelos did a great save. In the 15th match minute, Crisólia FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Quintal to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Crisólia FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Cardoso came free, but Ronaldinho Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jano França kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Gol's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Roque in the 24th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Jano França got a free kick in the 25th minute. Crisólia FBPA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tostão Valle in the 27th minute. Tostão Valle made a great header on Crisólia FBPA's corner, it was just that ATHLETICO PRaiano's Micael Moreira managed to reach the ball for a save. Crisólia FBPA's Ronaldinho Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Gol in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Roque in the 31st minute of play forced Crisólia FBPA's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute Antonio Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Cardoso in the 35th minute of play forced Crisólia FBPA's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Micael Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joãozinho Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Márcio Cardoso. But to his dismay, Márcio Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Gol made a kick off. Clóvis da Rocha lost his temper 51 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Crisólia FBPA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ATHLETICO PRaiano:s goal. When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Jailson Cearense got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ronaldinho Vasconcelos. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Ponta in the 55th minute of play. Micael Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joãozinho Severiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Ronaldinho Vasconcelos threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Márcio Cardoso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 61st minute of the match ATHLETICO PRaiano got a corner. Crisólia FBPA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jailson Cearense ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 61 played minutes Crisólia FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Joãozinho Severiano. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Cearense in the 62nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio Ponta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronaldinho Vasconcelos. That made the score 1-3 in the 64 minute of play. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Cearense hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Ponta in the 81st minute of the match. Crisólia FBPA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Márcio Cardoso scored to the left of an out of position Ronaldinho Vasconcelos, making the score, 1-4. 86 minutes into the match, Crisólia FBPA's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Gol. The supporters of Crisólia FBPA booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Roque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldinho Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ATHLETICO PRaiano's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
