A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Claudinei Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison Bergkamp in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deilmison Bergkamp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Litoral EC - CIMZ defense, Deilmison Bergkamp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinei Esteves. The Litoral EC - CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinei Esteves should have stopped the shot. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Claudinei Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Litoral EC - CIMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute, Litoral EC - CIMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ian Paiva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kléberson Leal was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
