Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) FÊNIX F.C.'s Armando Berger started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sandrinho Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, AF CERRADO's Igor Oliveira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Igor Oliveira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AF CERRADO protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Igor Oliveira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 12th minute, Igor Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Schmidt in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Brito in the 24th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Sandrinho Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute of the match FÊNIX F.C. got a corner. AF CERRADO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Armando Berger ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Armando Berger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AF CERRADO's Sandrinho Sabóia did a great save. Sandrinho Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Sandrinho Sabóia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Conrado Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Goiano in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Brito in the 32nd minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Sandrinho Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Artur Sergipano fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AF CERRADO's protests and gave Artur Sergipano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Sandrinho Sabóia managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when FÊNIX F.C.'s Armando Berger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Gilberto Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Alfredo Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká Goiano in the 57th minute of the match. AF CERRADO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FÊNIX F.C. the free kick. Gilberto Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Régis Azevedo took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sandrinho Sabóia. Sandrinho Sabóia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.
