Frank Rosa started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Agua Santa got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Arantes. Frank Rosa struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Washington Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agua Santa. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Washington Cavalcante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC from getting a goal against them. When Inácio Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Montenegro couldn't finish the play. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Washington Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Cosme in the 14th minute of play. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rafael Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agua Santa's protests and gave Rafael Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rafael Cruz hit a great ball. Tomé Mota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Vítor Meireles went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute Inácio Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match, Oséas Trigo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Washington Cavalcante was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After taking down the ball on Agua Santa's corner William Luz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Washington Cavalcante quite easily take care of the ball. In the 45th minute Agua Santa were awarded a corner. Eugênio Monteiro went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Eugênio Monteiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Washington Cavalcante did a great save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Vítor Meireles to strike the kick off in the second half. Narciso Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Eugênio Monteiro, 52 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 59th minute Tiago Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
