In the 8th minute Clemente Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Washington Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aílton Cearense was slow to take the kick. During this time Xapetuba Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Aílton Cearense to fire away a dangerous shot which Washington Cavalcante despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Lotan Otto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vivaldo Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Washington Cavalcante made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Washington Cavalcante threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Clemente Leme, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Meireles in the 24th minute of the match. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Monteiro in the 25th minute. Washington Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Cesinha Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Vivaldo Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Washington Cavalcante made a huge save. Lotan Otto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Tiaguinho da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lotan Otto in the 43rd minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Tiaguinho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho da Cunha came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Bernardo Maia. But to his dismay, Bernardo Maia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Aílton Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Bernardo Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiaguinho da Cunha came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's João Vítor Meireles. But to his dismay, João Vítor Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With an all-out effort, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Tiaguinho da Cunha threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lotan Otto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Tiaguinho da Cunha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Lotan Otto got a free kick in the 67th minute. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC made a substitution. Zé Paulo Ortiz replaced Bernardo Maia. The supporters of Xapetuba Futebol Clube booed when LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lotan Otto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 76 minutes into the game, when José Paulo Recife put in a rough tackle. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xapetuba Futebol Clube reached it. After 79 played minutes LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Meireles. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Inácio Montenegro was substituted for João Vítor Meireles. In the 80th minute, João Vítor Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 84 minutes, Lotan Otto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lotan Otto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiaguinho da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Zé Paulo Ortiz sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the game, Zé Paulo Ortiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Tiaguinho da Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
