Olivedos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jereba 4EVER the free kick. The supporters of Jereba 4EVER booed when Olivedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Anselmo Quintal in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Jereba 4EVER's Reynaldo Mello. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Valadares in the 20th minute of play forced Jereba 4EVER's goalkeeper Romeu da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Anselmo Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Brodel in the 26th minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Patrick Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Cruz came free, but Patrick Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Olivedos getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Anselmo Quintal hit a great ball. The supporters of Jereba 4EVER booed when Olivedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abelardo Brodel made a kick off. Olivedos's Patrick Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Olivedos from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute Antônio Carlos Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Patrick Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Olivedos's Nando Sampaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeu da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Márcio Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th match minute, Jereba 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Brodel to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Jereba 4EVER's Márcio Cruz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patrick Miranda. Patrick Miranda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Abelardo Brodel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Patrick Miranda firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jereba 4EVER were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Olivedos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reynaldo Mello took the corner. Jereba 4EVER's Romeu da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Sampaio in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Márcio Cruz got free with Patrick Miranda in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Jereba 4EVER supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jereba 4EVER would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
