After some careless play in the Santos da Bahia Fc defense, Edson Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Aparecido. The Santos da Bahia Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Aparecido should have stopped the shot. Santos da Bahia Fc's Jacinto Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Sousa in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Santos da Bahia Fc getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Valdemar Pena hit a great ball. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 54 played minutes Futuros FC got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Brasil. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lisa Simpson in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúl Nóbrega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Lisa Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raúl Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisa Simpson in the 72nd minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Santos da Bahia Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Sousa came free, but Jacinto Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Albuquerque during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
