If Hamílton Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Ibrahimovic in the 12th minute of play forced Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Nico Godoi got a free kick in the 15th minute. Nico Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Donato in the 24th minute of play. ADM Taquaras's Michel Shevchenko suffered a concussion after 27 minutes and had to leave the field. After 28 minutes, Marquinhos Pitta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bucéfalo FC and the ADM Taquaras players grew even worse after the yellow card. ADM Taquaras's Maurício Azevedo was substituted for Michel Shevchenko. After 29 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Pitta. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Michel Drogba managed to get in a good position for a shot. ADM Taquaras's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel Drogba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, João Vítor Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Drogba in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Thomás Freitas made a precise shot to the right of Décio Marinho. ADM Taquaras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 39 minutes into the match, Bucéfalo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Ibrahimovic came free, but Pedro Luís Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michel Ibrahimovic stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dito Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Pedro Luís Montenegro made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hamílton Lopes during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes ADM Taquaras got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Lopes. Décio Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Wilson Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ADM Taquaras's protests and gave Wilson Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. Wilson Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tico Mole in the 68th minute of play forced ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Décio Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dito Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Pedro Luís Montenegro made a huge save. Pedro Luís Montenegro stood somewhat misplaced when Michel Ibrahimovic came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 69 minute. 73 minutes into the game, Michel Ibrahimovic recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Luís Montenegro. Michel Ibrahimovic showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Ibrahimovic in the 80th minute of play. In the 87th minute Tico Mole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Tico Mole had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Décio Marinho. ADM Taquaras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tico Mole was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Décio Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tico Mole, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as ADM Taquaras's Michel Ibrahimovic slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Luís Montenegro. That made the score 2-3 after 92 minutes of play.
