After 6 played minutes Grêmio RK75 got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Damião. In the 6th minute Felippe Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Parfrente FC's corner Kauan Carioca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Matias Taffarel quite easily take care of the ball. Grêmio RK75's Vítor Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vítor Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Meireles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matias Taffarel. Hamílton Donatello was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Hamílton Donatello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the game, José Paulo de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parfrente FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio RK75 the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Parfrente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo de Barros to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Grêmio RK75 had won after a very even match.
