In the 24th minute, Marco van Basten made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Leme. Dogelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 28th minute Marco van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dogelo's Luiz Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Cruz in the 29th minute of play. Luiz Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Szoboszlai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 37 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Serginho Sabóia made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Leme was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dogelo's Luiz Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Medeiros in the 42nd minute of play. Luiz Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco van Basten in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adelino Pombal was the one to do the kick off.
