After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Artur Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corumbaense F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernandão Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Corumbaense F.C. defense, Kauan Rezende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo dos Santos. The Corumbaense F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Eduardo dos Santos should have stopped the shot. With his leg Fernandão Penha managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Corumbaense F.C.'s Artur Guerra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Kauan Rezende sped through Corumbaense F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo dos Santos. In the 24th minute of the match, Oleg Semenov tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fernandão Penha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Trancoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Eduardo dos Santos was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Luís Eduardo dos Santos came out and tried to block the shot, but Jeferson Mandrak slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 53rd minute. Kauan Rezende's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Eduardo dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. With 62 minutes on the clock, Túlio Aparecido commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 62nd minute, one of Castanheiro SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Castanheiro SC. Leonardo Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Luís Eduardo dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieguinho Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Luís Eduardo dos Santos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Célio Pena. The referee felt a red card was in order, 76 minutes into the game, when Dieguinho Neiva put in a rough tackle. In the 76th match minute, Corumbaense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho Neiva to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's Célio Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Eduardo dos Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Corumbaense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luka Modrić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Célio Pena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Eduardo dos Santos. Corumbaense F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Corumbaense F.C.'s Luís Eduardo dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 95th minute of play. The Castanheiro SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
