Hugo Vellito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Leonides Quintyn made a huge save. Zé Paulo Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Escobar in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, New Pi's Hugo Vellito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonides Quintyn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Ramiro Cebrian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Paulo Mendes. New Pi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramiro Cebrian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, New Pi's Hugo Vellito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonides Quintyn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zé Paulo Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The attack was good, but when Zacarias Escobar in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Zé Paulo Mendes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zacarias Escobar went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 26 minutes into the match, New Pi's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Escobar came free, but Zé Paulo Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jorge Galsino fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New Pi's protests and gave Jorge Galsino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Regresado booed when New Pi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Galsino didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Escobar in the 37th minute of play forced New Pi's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes New Pi got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Romo. Zé Paulo Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Escobar in the 40th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Anacleto Truylos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Regresado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Pi the free kick. After having played for 48 minutes, Hugo Vellito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Pi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Vellito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Vellito made a kick off. With 54 minutes on the clock, Enzo Astrada commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Regresado fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! Leonides Quintyn went to the wrong direction when Albino Aballe was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Hugo Vellito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Quintyn having to make a save. Leonides Quintyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Vellito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Regresado booed when New Pi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Mantzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. New Pi's Jacobo Mantzio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rosendo Lobo, made in the 64th minute of the game. Zé Paulo Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro Cebrian in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, one of New Pi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New Pi. In the 77th minute, Segundo Bidun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Paulo Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After having played for 84 minutes, Hugo Vellito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Pi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Vellito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. New Pi's Hugo Vellito got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramiro Cebrian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
