The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samuel Buinton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugenio Herrera went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Simon Jurgi fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Golosos's protests and gave Simon Jurgi a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Los Golosos got a freekick which was hit by Simon Jurgi. Cesar Montrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Samuel Buinton made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Samuel Buinton successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Arthur Morgan´s Club's Haroldo Etxatxu in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Arthur Morgan´s Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Etxatxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Loramendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 37 minutes of play, Arthur Morgan´s Club's Feliberto Palermo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hernan Loramendi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Arthur Morgan´s Club booed when Los Golosos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Cordarrol didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Arthur Morgan´s Club's Haroldo Etxatxu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernan Loramendi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hernan Loramendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Froylan in the 46th minute of play. Cesar Montrell hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Frantzes was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Buinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Frantzes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Buinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Herrera in the 68th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Arthur Morgan´s Club got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Cebrian. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Herrera in the 73rd minute of play forced Arthur Morgan´s Club's goalkeeper Samuel Buinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Herrera scored 3-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Buinton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Salvador Frantzes scored 4-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Buinton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
