The ball went over the crossbar instead. La Pantera Azulgrana's Justo Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Frantzes in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Pantera Azulgrana's Santos Mingo got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amador Frutos was the one to do the kick off. Los Golosos's Moises Tuste got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute of the match Los Golosos got a corner. La Pantera Azulgrana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moises Tuste ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Eugenio Herrera advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Julian Urki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Roma. Los Golosos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Urki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The supporters of Los Golosos booed when La Pantera Azulgrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Millan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 played minutes, Los Golosos's Moises Tuste shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Justo Karmel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Golosos reached it. Alfredo Lope struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Justo Karmel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Golosos. After a rather tough play, Los Golosos's Eugenio Herrera got a free kick in the 91st minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Golosos fully deserved thier win.
