In the 15th minute of the match, Siro Rey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Norberto Montxo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 16 minutes White StarZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lino Nataniel who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartolo Frederico during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Bartolo Frederico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Jonas Edwardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of C.A. Línea Rotativa booed when White StarZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Ihazintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Lino Nataniel sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Norberto Montxo threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Lino Nataniel this time. White StarZ were furious when Justino Ihazintu was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, White StarZ's Justino Ihazintu got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in White StarZ's zone, Lino Nataniel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Montxo came out of the goal and Lino Nataniel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to White StarZ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Emilio Lapurdi hit a great ball. Norberto Montxo was a little too slow when Siro Rey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 40 played minutes C.A. Línea Rotativa got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Veto. Norberto Montxo was a little too slow when Jonas Edwardo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apolo Edwardo to make the kick off.
