Elvio Galo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Sabaleros F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Abecia came free, but Constantino Osasun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Ramiro Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabaleros F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Sanchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Sabaleros F.C.'s goalkeeper Constantino Osasun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquin Fertus. Sabaleros F.C.'s Constantino Osasun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Jusepe in the 25th minute of play. Octavio Abaunza's late challenge caught a Chovet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Abaunza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute of the game Fidel Shantala made a throw-in which Joaquin Fertus played forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquin Fertus got free with Constantino Osasun in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Constantino Osasun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Abecia, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Herminio Jusepe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chovet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Jusepe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severiano Fernado struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Elvio Galo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabaleros F.C.. Inocencio Abaunza kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severiano Fernado to make the kick off. The supporters of Sabaleros F.C. booed when Chovet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Lon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Chovet's Fidel Shantala got a free kick in the 77th minute. Constantino Osasun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Kelemen in the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Bonifacio Oalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabaleros F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bonifacio Oalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elvio Galo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the game, Fidel Shantala threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sabaleros F.C.'s Emiliano Herrera quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Severiano Fernado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Elvio Galo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Severiano Fernado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elvio Galo came out and tried to block the shot, but Severiano Fernado slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 91st minute. Constantino Osasun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Abecia in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sabaleros F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chovet.
