The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anibal Rocendo's late challenge caught a CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anibal Rocendo helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Sabaleros F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Rocendo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Hermelando got free with Nicolas Maties in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luciano Hermelando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Maties having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Cláudio García notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sabaleros F.C.'s Constantino Osasun. Constantino Osasun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute Cláudio García shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantino Osasun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio García in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantino Osasun saved Sabaleros F.C. from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's goalkeeper Nicolas Maties had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Hermelando. Nicolas Maties made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Luciano Hermelando sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Lisandro Abeijon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantino Osasun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio García in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantino Osasun saved Sabaleros F.C. from getting behind. After 40 minutes, Luciano Hermelando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sabaleros F.C. and the CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 players grew even worse after the yellow card. 42 minutes into the match, Sabaleros F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Hechter came free, but Constantino Osasun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Victorio Hechter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Constantino Osasun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Hermelando made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Ulises Sánchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel-Omar Bati could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Constantino Osasun made a huge save. Gabriel-Omar Bati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Constantino Osasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sabaleros F.C. booed when CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Peter didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Luciano Hermelando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabaleros F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Hermelando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Maties breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd match minute, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Sánchez to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Maties showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Hermelando, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 75th match minute, CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Paulin to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sabaleros F.C.'s Rafael Tello got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermengildo Paulin got free with Constantino Osasun in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 played minutes CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854 got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Gudesteo. Bonifacio Oalo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Nicolas Maties didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabaleros F.C.. Ramiro Sanchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CLUB QUEQUÉN 1854's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
